WHAT IS POLICE CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE–
This PCC FOR INDIAN STUDENTS IN CANADA (document) issued by the Indian high commission in Canada. It confirms that the applicant has never been involved with the Indian police and has no criminal record. This document is confirmed by the Indian police authorities.
All the Indian students who are currently studying or have completed studies in Canada will get their PCC certificate from Indian High Commission located in Canada.
The applicant’s passport must be valid for 6 months.
PCC is issued after a “clear” report from the police authorities. This takes approximately 8 weeks.
Requirements for PCC For Canada Students in India
Fill in the application form – https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in/
- Affix recent passport size photograph
- A copy of first and last page of Indian passport of the applicant (original not required).
- A copy of valid PR Card/Work Permit/Student Permit/ Visitor Record etc.
- Proof of current Canadian residence address: (copy of any one of the following)
Canadian Driving License / SIN Letter bearing residential address /Utility bills – Gas, Electricity, Water or Landline Telephone Bill displaying applicant’s address /House Lease Agreement. (Note: Bank/credit card/mobile phone statements are not accepted as residence proof).
Once all the forms are complete, you have to submit the application at the BLS centre.
