IELTS is accepted both for study visas as well as for migration by countries like Canada, Australia, New Zealand, the UK, and the USA and European countries. 

PTE is mostly accepted in Australia and New Zealand for study visas and migration purposes.

IELTS results are available after 13 days of the exam. The TRF comes within 2-3 days after the results are available.
